Industrial work runs on different rules than commercial construction. Outage windows are fixed, safety requirements are non-negotiable, and the cost of a schedule slip is measured in lost production rather than liquidated damages. WDR has worked inside operating plants across the Gulf Coast since 1995 — for clients including ExxonMobil, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, Celanese, Kraton, Smurfit, Florida Power & Light, and Cytiva.

Our value in that environment comes from self-performing across trades. Vessel fabrication, structural steel, piping, equipment setting, and the concrete underneath all come from one contractor with one superintendent, which is what makes an aggressive turnaround schedule achievable rather than theoretical.

Vessel and tank fabrication and setting

We fabricate and install vessels and tank components in our own shop, then rig and set them in the field. Scrubber piping, vessel internals, nozzles and connections, and the structural steel and foundations that support them are all within our scope — meaning one company is accountable from the shop ticket to the completed installation.

Equipment setting and alignment

Setting industrial equipment is precision work performed under time pressure. Our crews handle rigging, setting, leveling, grouting, and pump and motor alignments, along with the piping tie-ins that follow. Chiller installations, process pumps, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment are routine work for our piping and mechanical division.

Turnarounds and outage support

During turnarounds we supply crews for tie-ins, replacements, and repairs inside a compressed window. Because our fabrication shop is local to Pensacola, replacement spools and fittings can be built and delivered inside the outage rather than ordered and waited on — the difference between finishing on schedule and extending it.

Structural steel and plant modifications

Plants change. We fabricate and erect structural steel, platforms, access stairs, and supports, and we perform the demolition, modification, and rebuild work that comes with reconfiguring an operating facility — including specialty scope like awning removal, control room build-outs, and shoreline and containment work.
